This article talks about current genome research in the agricultural sector of the Russian Federation. The author of the study analyzed the regulations governing the need for the development of genomic research in the agricultural sector. According to certain norms and regulations, such studies have a high economic perspective and can have a positive impact on the development of agriculture as a fundamental economic branch. The article concludes that the state sees the perspective of scientific and educational institutions in the development of genomic research in the field of agriculture and is ready to provide them with financial assistance in this segment of research.
